Cleaning the Check Valves

Follow these steps
Pumps C, Pumps F ( VC-Pxx, VF-Pxx)
Operating Manual
• Dirty check valves
• Once a year
• Syringe (12 mL), filled with isopropanol
• Ultrasonic bath
Remove the check valves that you want to clean. It is recommended to
clean all check valves of the pump head at the same time. To remove the
check valves, follow the related steps in
(} page 162) or Replacing the Outlet Check Valves (} page 164)
applicable.
1. In the direction of flow, fill the check valves with isopropanol, using
the syringe.
2. For 10 minutes, place the check valves in the ultrasonic bath.
3. In the direction of flow, rinse the check valves with isopropanol,
using the syringe.
4. Reinstall the check valves, following the related steps in
the Inlet Check Valves (} page 162)

5. In the Chromeleon software, consider updating the Predictive
Performance information for the check valves.
