3 Change the settings as appropriate for Language, Measurement
System, Temperature Units, Time Zone, and Cable Terminology.
To change the settings, touch the menu item, and then select an item
from the list.
The international settings are configured.
Updating the instrument firmware over a
network
The OneExpert DSL firmware can be upgraded in the field using the
Ethernet Network port.
To update over an intranet or network
1 Download the firmware from the Viavi OneExpert DSL downloads
page
http://goo.gl/CkUCXJ.
2 Obtain the IP or FTP address where the firmware file is located, as
well as the User Name and Password.
3 Connect the OneExpert DSL to the AC charger adapter to ensure an
uninterrupted supply of power during the update.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK
Electrical shock may result in serious injury or death. Be sure the
AC adapter is connected to the correct voltage mains. Do not use
outdoors or in wet locations. Use only the AC adapter supplied with
the tester.
4 From the System Settings menu, select Network Software Update.
