Testing TIMS

The transmission impairment measurement set (TIMS) is an optional suite
of tests designed to troubleshoot copper problems associated with technol-
ogies that use both voice frequencies (narrowband) and above the voice
range (wideband. These tests include the following:
• Noise - wideband and narrowband
• Impulse noise
• Impulse noise
• RX Tones - wideband and narrowband

To access the WBTIMS feature
1 From the Copper menu, touch Wideband TIMS.
The WB Noise menu appears (or the last test used).
