The UNIGATE CM-CANopen module serves to adapt a serial port to CANopen. In this applica-
tion, it functions as a Gateway and operates as CANopen Slave. It can be operated by any stan-
dard-compliant Master.
The module CM-CANopen essentially consists of the following hardware components:
• Electrically isolated interface to CANopen
• CAN-controller SJA 1000
•
Microprocessor 89C51RD2
• RAM and EPROM
• Serial interface (RS232, RS485 and RS422) to the device connected externally
• Ext.-Board with additional CANopen interface on the application side
