TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
4. Large pressure
adjustments are
necessary to receive 
1 oz. (29.6 ml.) in 
6 seconds.
5. The mix hopper is too
warm.
6. The mix hopper is too
cold.
7. Machine short cycling
(rapid on and off cycles).
8. The freezing cylinder
walls are scored.
9. The driveshaft is stuck in
the gearbox coupling.

Probable Cause
a. Hardened syrup in syrup line.
b. Syrup line and air line not matched
properly to syrup tank.
a. Product too warm when placed in
hopper.
b. Control switch in the OFF position.
c. The temperature is out of
adjustment.
a. The temperature is out of
adjustment.
b. Dirty air-cooled condenser.
c. Inadequate water supply on 
water-cooled unit.
d. Defective condenser fan.
e. No airspace surrounding machine.
a. The scraper blades are damaged.

Remedy
a. Sanitize syrup lines once a week.
b. Match syrup and air lines to syrup
tank.

b. Place in AUTO position.
c. Call a service technician to adjust
hopper temperature.
a. Call a service technician to adjust
hopper temperature.
b. Brush-clean every 30 days.
c. Check water supply.
d. Call service to repair or replace.
e. Maintain specified air clearance.
a. Replace the scraper blades.
b. Place machine in AUTO only after
priming is complete and all sanitizing
solution is removed.
c. Install or replace the front bearing.
d. Call a service technician to repair or
replace beater and to correct cause of
insufficient mix in freezing cylinder.
