Thermal Fuse
The other thermostat component placed on the heat exchanger is the thermal fuse. If it shuts off once, it
door perfect insulation and to prevent from getting into harm due to high temperature. The activation
temperature is 318
o
C. In case of thermal fuse shut-off, please call RINNAI authorised services. The thermal
fuse can also be purchased via our authorised sellers / distributors.
For aiM 65 M/S models, the thermal fuse is located on the ISO heat exchanger and can be reached easily.
For aiM 85-115-150 M/S models it is located at the backside of the heat exchanger which is also impossible
to reach by hand.
The location of the thermal fuse on the DUO range heat exchangers (aiM 85-115-150 M/S) enforces the
need of heat exchanger disassembling in case of thermal fuse shut-off. Folowing the authorised service
inspection, whether it is a need, the boiler may be carried out of the working place (i.e. boiler room etc.)
and/or taken for workshop maintenance. The only authorisation and knowledge about heat exchanger
disassembling and/or thermal fuse substitution only belongs to the RINNAI authorized services. An
