REMOVING THE REED VALVE UNIT

Remove the deflector, see 6.1.10 (REMOVING THE DEFLECTOR).
Remove the four screws (1).
Torque wrench setting for screws (1): 8 Nm (0.8 kgm).
Remove, in the following order, the intake manifold (2), the reed valve (3)
and the related gasket (4), taking care to insert a cloth in the intake slot so
as to prevent dirt from entering and hindering the operation of the
mechanisms.
Check for any damage or breakage of the reed valve stops and if necessary
replace them.
Never attempt to repair the reed valve or its support.

CHECKING THE REED VALVE

Check for any damage or breakage of the reed valve stops and if necessary
replace them.
Measure the bending limit (A) of the reed valve. If it falls outside the tolerance
range, replace the valve.
Bending limit: 0.2 mm
