SISTEMA DE ALIMENTACIÓN
4.2 EVACUACION COMBUSTIBLE DEL DEPO-
SITO Y DE LOS CARBURADORES
Lea con cuidado 1.2.1 (COMBUSTIBLE) y 1.4
(PRECAUCIONES E INFORMACIONES GENERALES).

Deje enfriar el motor hasta que el mismo al-
cance la temperatura ambiente.
a
Los vapores de combustible perjudican la sa-
lud. Controle que el local en el que se trabaja
tenga una buena ventilación.
No inhale los vapores de combustible.
No fume ni utilice llamas libres.
No esparza el combustible en el medio ambiente.
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete.
Para vaciar el combustible del depósito utilice una
bomba manual o un sistema semejante.
Para el vaciado del recipiente carburador, introduzca
un tubo flexible (1) (diámetro interior 4 mm y longitud
300 mm) en el empalme de drenaje del recipiente.
Coloque la extremidad suelta del tubo (1) dentro de
otro recipiente.
Actuando a través del orificio en el bastidor (2) abra el
respiradero del carburador aflojando el tornillo de dre-
naje (3).
En cuanto haya salido todo el combustible:

Atornille con cuidado el tornillo de drenaje (3)
para evitar pérdidas de combustible del car-
c
burador cuando reposta.
Efectúe las operaciones de evacuación reci-
piente en ambos carburadores.

4.3 DESMONTAJE GRIFO COMBUSTIBLE

Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Vacíe el combustible del depósito, véase 4.2 (EVA-
CUACION COMBUSTIBLE DEL DEPOSITO Y DE
LOS CARBURADORES).
Saque el depósito combustible, véase 7.1.1 (DES-
MONTAJE DEPOSITO COMBUSTIBLE).
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (4).
Extraiga el grifo (5) y guarde la junta tórica (6).

Durante la instalación compruebe la integri-
dad de la junta tórica (6) colocándola de ma-
nera correcta.

4.4 DESMONTAJE

SONDA NIVEL COMBUSTIBLE

Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Vacíe el combustible del depósito, véase 4.2 (EVA-
CUACION COMBUSTIBLE DEL DEPOSITO Y DE
LOS CARBURADORES).
Desconecte el conector eléctrico (7).
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (8).
Extraiga la sonda (9) y guarde la junta tórica (10).

Durante la instalación compruebe la integri-
dad de la junta tórica (10) colocándola de ma-
nera correcta.
FUEL SYSTEM
4.2 DRAINING THE FUEL TANK AND THE CAR-
BURETTORS
Read 1.2.1 (FUEL) and 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION) carefully.

Let the engine cool down until it reaches room
temperature.
a
Fuel vapours are noxious for the health.
Before proceeding, make sure that the room
in which you are working is properly ventilat-
ed. Do not inhale fuel vapours.
Neither smoke, nor use naked flames.
Do not dispose of fuel in the environment.
Position the vehicle on the stand.
Empty the fuel tank by means of a manual pump or a
similar system.
To drain the float chamber, introduce a flexible pipe (1)
(inner Ø 4 mm and length 300 mm) into the draining
union of the chamber.
Position the free end of the pipe (1) inside a container.
Acting through the hole positioned on the frame (2),
open the carburettor drain outlet by loosening the
drain screw (3).
When all the fuel has flowed out:

Tighten the drain screw (3) carefully, to avoid
fuel leaks from the carburettor during refill-

ing.
Empty the float chambers of both carburet-
tors.

4.3 REMOVING THE FUEL COCK

Read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFOR-
MATION) carefully.
Drain the fuel from the tank, see 4.2 (DRAINING
THE FUEL TANK AND THE CARBURETTORS).
Remove the fuel tank, see 7.1.1 (REMOVING THE

FUEL TANK).

Unscrew and remove the two screws (4).
Withdraw the cock (5) and take the O-ring (6).

Upon reassembly, make sure that the O-ring
(6) is sound and position it correctly.
4.4 REMOVING THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE
UNIT
Read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFOR-
MATION) carefully.
Drain the fuel from the tank, see 4.2 (DRAINING
THE FUEL TANK AND THE CARBURETTORS).
Disconnect the electric connector (7).
Unscrew and remove the two screws (8).
Withdraw the gauge unit (9) and take the O-ring (10).

Upon reassembly, make sure that the O-ring
(10) is sound and position it correctly.
