CHECKING THE ELECTROLYTE
BATTERY LEVEL
The vehicle is equipped with a maintenance-free battery, which does not
require any check of the electrolyte level.
2.6.1

RECHARGING THE BATTERY

IMPORTANT
You can tell that the battery is nearly flat when you hear a
rattling sound from the starter relay when pressing the starter button "
Do not remove the battery plugs or the battery may damage.
Remove the battery, see 6.1.7 (REMOVING THE BATTERY).
Prepare an appropriate battery charger.
Set the charger for the desired type of recharge (see table).
Connect the battery to the battery charger.
Charge or use the battery in a well-ventilated place. Do not inhale the
gases produced by the battery under charging.

Reassemble the battery only 5/10 minutes after disconnecting the
recharge apparatus, since the battery continues to produce gas for a
short lapse of time.

The battery must be positioned in its compartment with the
terminals directed towards the right side of the vehicle.
Place the battery in its compartment.
