5 Installation at Site

5 Installation at Site

5.1 Safety regulations

DANGER
Improper installation in potentially explosive atmospheres
Explosion hazard!
Damage to the pump set!
▷ Comply with the applicable local explosion protection regulations.
▷ Observe the information in the order documentation and on the name plates of
pump and motor.

5.2 Checks to be carried out prior to installation

Installation on mounting surfaces which are unsecured and cannot support the load
Personal injury and damage to property!
▷ Use a concrete of compressive strength class C12/15 which meets the
requirements of exposure class X0 to EN 206-1.
▷ The mounting surface must have set and must be completely horizontal and
even.
▷ Observe the weights indicated.
Check the structural requirements.
All structural work required must have been prepared in accordance with the
dimensions stated in the outline drawing.

5.3 Installing the pump set

CAUTION
Ingress of leakage into the motor
Damage to the pump!
▷ Never install the pump set with the "motor below".

NOTE
For motor sizes 132 or 160, the motor foot must be shimmed (20 mm shim height)
for installation on a foundation.
On some pump/motor combinations, the support foot/motor feet need to be
shimmed for installation on a foundation.

Fix in place using the support foot or volute
casing foot, or by fastening the pump to the
piping (remove the support foot).
Fix in place using the motor foot or using the
volute casing foot and motor foot.
Fix in place using the volute casing foot and
motor support.
