Cleaning filters
CAUTION
Insufficient inlet pressure due to clogged filter in the suction line
Damage to the pump!
▷ Monitor contamination of filter with suitable means (e.g. differential pressure
gauge).
▷ Clean filter at appropriate intervals.

7.3 Drainage/cleaning

WARNING
Fluids, consumables and supplies which are hot and/or pose a health hazard
Hazard to persons and the environment!
▷ Collect and properly dispose of flushing fluid and any residues of the fluid
handled.
▷ Wear safety clothing and a protective mask, if required.
▷ Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard.

Always flush the system if it has been used for handling noxious, explosive, hot
or other hazardous fluids.
Always flush and clean the pump before transporting it to the workshop.
Provide a certificate of decontamination for the pump. (⇨ Section 11 Page 56)

7.4 Dismantling the pump set

Insufficient preparation of work on the pump (set)
Risk of injury!
▷ Properly shut down the pump set. (⇨ Section 6.1.5 Page 31)
▷ Close the shut-off elements in suction and discharge line.
▷ Drain the pump and release the pump pressure.
▷ Close any auxiliary connections.
▷ Allow the pump set to cool down to ambient temperature.
