Recommended Positions
The recommended gantry and couch angles at which the exposures should be made are shown in
the table below. All positions refer to the IEC 61217 scale.

Additional positions might be necessary in order to gain detailed information about
mechanical inaccuracies of the specific Linac and couch.
Film Analysis
After the film has been developed, inspect the eight images to determine variations in the position
of the target ball relative to the center of the radiation beam. The pattern should approximate the
above figure.
The data collected during the commissioning of the Brainlab radiosurgery system should form the
baseline to which future tests are compared.
