To replace the tailgate light bulbs
Complete operations only in the sequence given:
Safety First
Fig. 206 On the boot lid:
Remove the cover.
Fig. 207 On the boot lid:
Remove the lamp holder.
Operating instructions
Always take the checklist into account and take the necessary

2. Open the tailgate page 88.
Extract the cover carefully using the flat part of the screwdriver as a

lever ( page 322, fig. 195) on the indent
Release the lamp holder connector by pulling on the red connector
4.
block.
Press on the attachment tabs in the direction of the arrow

fig. 207 and pull out the lamp holder.
6. Replace the faulty bulb with a new identical bulb.
Install the lamp holder. The attachment tabs should audibly click
7.
into place.
8. Insert the cover. The cover should lock into place.
