Neutral
Situation in which a hand is separated from a stick of a transmitter. Alterna-
tively, the position of servo horn at that time.
Nicad (Ni-Cd)
Different from a dry cell, the battery can be repeatedly charged and used.
Other chargeable batteries are NiMH or lithium ion batteries.
Noise
An electric noise. Since it is a kind of radio wave, it enters a receiver and
causes a malfunction.
PC interface
It is an adapter that converts signals and is connected to a PC for performing
setting of a transmitter on the PC.
Preset
Setting up a position in advance.
Propo
A transmitter used for radio controlled model. Alternatively, a general term of
transmitter and receiver. An abbreviation of proportional system.
Pumping
Intermittent brake operation by pressing and releasing.
Push rod
A rod used for linkage.
Receiver (RX)
The device that receives a radio wave from a transmitter and sends a control
signal to the servo and the ESC.
Regulator
A circuit that stabilizes the input voltage to the required voltage.
Reset
Returning setting contents such as set values to the initial state.
Response
Time from operation of transmitter to reaction of device in the receiver side.
Rubber grommet
A rubber part that protects a servo from vibration. It is mounted to the tab of
servo case.
Rudder angle (travel)
Turning angle of the servo horn. Movement amount.
Saver horn
A shock absorbing device is installed in the horn. This is supplied with the kit.
Servo
A device that converts a control signal from a transmitter into rotating ma-
chine movement. A servo motor.
Speed controller
Spline
Since offset is provided in the groove of output shaft and in the hole of horn,
fine positioning can be performed by turning it.
Swing
Reciprocating motion between two set points.
Transmitter (TX)
A device that emits a radio wave to control the servo and the ESC connected
to the receiver and to move the model. -> Propo
Travel
Rudder angle, movement amount.
Trigger
Operation mechanism of a transmitter. By pulling or pressing a trigger, the
throttle is controlled.
Trim
A device that adjusts the neutral position of each channel signal.
VR
Abbreviation of variable resistor. This electronic part detects the position of
steering or throttle.
Web site
Wheel
Mechanism of transmitter that is turned from side to side to control steering.
Width
Width of movement by ABS or throttle acceleration.
