Setting the movement amount in the forwarding
side (T:HiPOT, Throttle high point)
The maximum movement amount only in the for-
warding side of throttle is set. In the case of an
electric-powered car, this item is used to set the
maximum speed point of ESC, and in the case of
an engine car, this item is used to set the high side
of carburetor.
A too large set value for an engine
car may cause stretch of linkage and
increase of load to the servo, resulting
in damage.
When setting up the ESC for an electric-
powered car, a too small set value may
cause the setup to be difficult. In this
case, return the value to the initial value
(H100) and then perform the setup.
Press the down key or the up key to display "T:
1
HiPOT."
Press the + key or the – key to change the set
2
value.
The value can be set in the range of H0 to H150.
If you press the + key and the – key simul-
taneously, the set value is set to H100.
Press the back (function) key to return to the
3
normal screen or press the down key or the up
key to select another function menu item.
The setting contents are stored.
If the minimum value (H0) is set, the
model will not forward at all.
Note that a small set value of "T:
HiPOT" (throttle high point) and a large
set value of "T:TRM" (throttle trim) will
cause a very small servo movement
amount. (See "Adjusting the neutral
position" on page 23.
Setting the movement amount in the brake
side (T:BRAKE, Brake)
The maximum movement amount only at the throt-
tle brake and reversing side is set.
A too large set value for an engine
car may cause stretch of linkage and
increase of load to the servo, resulting
in damage.
When setting up the ESC for an electric-
powered car, a too small set value may
cause the setup to be difficult. In this
case, return the value to the initial value
(B100) and then perform the setup.
Press the down key or the up key to display "T:
1
BRAKE."
Press the + key or the – key to change the set
2
value.
The value can be set in the range of B0 to B150.
If you press the + key and the – key simul-
taneously, the set value is set to B100.
Press the back (function) key to return to the
3
normal screen or press the down key or the up
key to select another function menu item.
The setting contents are stored.
If the minimum value (B0) is set, the brake
will not operate at all or the model will not
reverse at all. Also the function in the ESC
side is affected. Be sure to carry out a
test to check if the brake functions before
starting traveling.
In the initial state, the ET4 lever can also be
used to set "T:BRAKE" (throttle brake). Move
the lever up or down to change the set value.
Even if you press the + key and the - key
simultaneously, however, the set value is not
set to B100.
