Description
In this box, select the display type for the data. You have the following
options:
- ASCII*
- Hexadecimal
In this box, the data last received appears. The display is limited to max.
119 characters.
This box appears if you have selected the simulation for the serial
interface on the Settings page and the display mode is set to ASCII.
You can enter up to 119 characters in this box, which are then
transferred to the control unit independent of any attached device.
If you enter more than the allowed number of characters, a red
exclamation mark appears next to the input box.

In this mode, the individual characters must be separated by a
semicolon. Numbers not preceded by "0x" are interpreted as decimal
characters and automatically converted to hexadecimal display.
