- Synchronous Peripheral Signal Settings

The signal bits of the peripheral connector for external connections can be set with this command.
(The peripheral interface is standard on the Apollo -series printers and is available on A-series
printers if optional equipment, such as cutter etc. is attached )
This command controls the status of the output pins. The x command was added to take control over
peripheral device, which is usually other than the offered cab equipment. The four signal bits can be
set as follows:
Pin and bit assignments and usage on Apollo printers:
Pin
Pin
Pin
Pin
Each of these bits can be set or reset for individual needs. The bit signals can be used to control
mechanical devices.
We highly recommend to use a cut and demand adapter to avoid any electrical damage when these
signals are used on Apollo or Hermes. The cut and demand adapter uses opto couplers to protect the
printer electronics.
To reset all of these bits, use ESC!ESC! (see ESC commands)
Syntax:
x m;m CR
The usage of this command depends on the printer type. The description of the pin assignment can
be found in the available option documentations.
