Selecting Boot Image Version

You can use the Reset System menu to select one of two switch software
images to load and execute the next time a switch software image is reset.
Table 4-8
lists and describes the images you can select.

Selects switch software Image 1.
Image 2
Selects switch software Image 2.
Latest Image
Selects the latest image that is stored in FLASH.
The latest image is the image with the latest
version number and creation date.
To select the boot image version, follow these steps:
1.
In the Main Menu, choose Reset System.
The Reset System menu is displayed.
2.
Choose Select Boot Image Version from the Reset System menu.
The Reset System menu displays a line showing which software versions
are stored as Image 1, Image 2, and Latest Image.
3.
Select the image that you want to boot (either Image 1, Image 2, or
Latest Image).
If the image is valid, the system is booted with that image. If you choose
Latest Image, the system automatically boots the image with the latest
build day.
