Configuring the BayStack 281xx Switch
IP Address Input Example

The following procedure is an example of how to use the front panel display
and keypad. The procedure assumes that you have installed the hardware and
have turned on the power to the BayStack 281xx switch.
To input the IP address information, follow these steps:
1.
Press all three keypad keys at the same time to start the display.
The Boot Parameters menu line is displayed in the display window.
2.
Press the top or bottom key until the Switch Parameters option is
displayed.
3.
Press the middle key to choose the Switch Parameters menu.
The Switch IP Addr menu is displayed.
4.
Press the middle key to select the Switch IP Addr option.
The current IP address is displayed. As a precaution, you are not allowed
to change the current IP address. You must select the "next IP address" and
reset the BayStack 281xx switch before the "next" IP address is
implemented.
5.
Press the bottom key to display the Next IP Addr option.
6.
Press the middle key to choose the Next IP Addr option.
The next IP address is displayed with the cursor below the first character
of the address.
7.
Press one of the following keys, depending on the result you want:
Middle key again, if you want to clear all the characters of the
displayed IP address.
Top key to move the cursor to the right, if you want to modify the
current IP address.
8.
Press the top key to move the cursor under the character you want to
change. (Press the bottom key to move the cursor to the left.)
9.
Press the middle key to select the character above the cursor.
The cursor stops blinking under the selected character.
