Menu header information
Item
Description
System Up Time
The time elapsed since last power up or reset.
MAC Address
The 6-byte MAC address of the BayStack 281xx switch
(hexadecimal notation).
Switch Software
The release software version.
Version
IP Address
The Internet address of the BayStack 281xx switch. The letter
(M) after the IP address indicates that this is a master switch.
Default Gateway
The IP address of the default gateway for the BayStack 281xx
switch.
Subnet Mask
The IP subnet mask for the BayStack 281xx switch.
Menu Commands
Instructions for moving the cursor and selecting menu items are at the bottom
of every menu and screen. The basic commands are:
•
Up and down arrow keys to move the cursor (cursor moves as a highlight
box).
•
[Enter] to select the highlighted menu item or complete a text input.
•
[Ctrl]+P to return to main menu.
•
[Ctrl]+U to return to previous menu.
•
[Ctrl]+L to refresh the screen and update displayed system information.
Menu Help Display
To display help information about any menu item, move the cursor to highlight
that menu item. A short description of the item is displayed just above the menu
command area of the screen.
