Connecting a BayStack 281xx Switch to a Model RPSU Redundant Power
Supply Unit

This section provides instructions for connecting your BayStack 281xx switch
to a Model RPSU power supply unit.
For more information about power supply operations, refer to the
documentation that shipped with your Model RPSU power supply.
To connect your BayStack 281xx switch to the Model RPSU power supply,
follow these steps:
1. Install the BayStack 281xx switch according to the instructions in
your switch documentation.
Do not turn on the AC power to the BayStack 281xx switch.
2. Install the power supply below your BayStack 281xx switch according
to the instructions in your power supply documentation.
Connect an AC power cord to each of the two AC inputs on the power
supply.
CAUTION: Do not turn on the AC power to the Model RPSU power
supply.
NOTE: You must connect both AC cords for the power supply to work
properly.
