Configuring the BayStack 281xx Switch
One-Way Link Detection Message
Menu Maps
4-36
All BayStack 281xx switches can detect a one-way link transmission, where a
link can either receive data from or transmit data to another switch, but not
both. When a one-way link is detected, the problem link is identified in a
message on the front panel display. The system displays a console message
similar to "PORT x: 1-WAY LINK" where x identifies the port number of the
failed link.
Figures 4-17 and 4-18 show the menu options of the Boot Mode Configuration
menu and the Switch Parameters menu, respectively. These maps will help you
navigate the single-line display of the front panel.
