Connection

Connect peripheral devices to the server.
Connectors that allow a variety of peripheral devices to be connected are provided at the front and rear of the
server. Images on the following pages show the peripheral devices that can be connected in their standard
state and their respective connector positions. First connect the peripheral devices and then connect the
power cord to the server. After that, connect the power plug to the outlet.

Tips
If you have a request regarding system configuration including connection to UPS
or automatic power control system and setting for timer controlled operation,
connection to server switch unit and its setting, ask a service technician (or a
system engineer) of your maintenance service company.
Be sure to observe the following precautions to use the server safety. Failure to
observe the precautions may cause death or serious injury. For details, refer to
Safety precautions in Precautions for Use.
• Do not hold the power plug with wet hands
• Do not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe
