Installation and Connection

This section describes how to position the server and connect cables.
2.1

Installation

The environment suitable for the server is as follows.
Hold the server firmly, and slowly and gently place it in the position in which it is to be installed.
The environment that satisfies the
following conditions:

Ambient temperature: 5°C to 40°C*
Humidity: 10% to 85%
Temperature gradient: ±10°C/hour
Air pressure: 749 to 1040 hpa
<Non-operation>
Ambient temperature: 5°C to 40°C*
Humidity: 10% to 85%
Temperature gradient: ±15°C/hour
Air pressure: 749 to 1040 hpa
*: 5°C to 48°C (when an optional
kit is installed; subject to
composition restrictions)

Be sure to observe the following precautions to use of the server safely. Failure
to observe the precautions may cause burns, injury, and property damage. For
details, refer to Safety Precautions and Regulatory Notices.
 Do not attempt to lift the server by gripping the front bezel.
 Install and store only in the specified environment.

front of/behind the server
