(3) Removing outer rails
If multiple rails are installed, it might be impossible to push the unlock lever. If this happens, remove the rail
from the rack by using the following procedure.
1. Refer to Chapter 2 (2.1.2) - (2) Removal procedure to remove the server from the rack.
2. Prepare the designated tool to remove
slide rail (outer rail) that comes with the
server.
3. Insert the tool into the square hall at the
front of a rail as shown in the image on
the right.
4. Unlock the rail by pressing the tool in the
direction as shown in the image on the
right.
