5 Preparation for Use

Do not grind the prosthetic foot or footshell.
5.1 Alignment
INFORMATION
There is a plastic adapter cover on the proximal connection of the prosthetic foot. This protects
the connecting section from scratches during the alignment and trial fitting.

Only use the adapter cover for static alignment, dynamic trial fitting and gait training exer
cises.
►
Remove the adapter cover before the patient leaves the workshop/fitting area.
5.1.1 Applying/removing the footshell
Inserting the foot into the footshell
Recommended tools: 2C100 changing device for footshell

1) Pull the Spectra sock over the prosthetic foot, avoiding any wrinkles.
2) Slide the prosthetic foot into the footshell. Insert the carbon spring into the slot on the toe
insert (see fig. 3).
3) Push the prosthetic foot into the heel area of the footshell until it locks into place (see fig. 5).
4) Place the connection cap on the footshell (see fig. 6).
Removing the footshell
Recommended tools: 2C100 changing device for footshell

1) Push the heel area of the footshell to the rear and pull the prosthetic foot up.
2) Remove the prosthetic foot from the footshell.
5.1.2 Bench Alignment

alignment apparatus (e.g. 743L200 L.A.S.A.R. assembly or 743A200 PROS.A.
assembly)
Perform the alignment and assembly of the prosthetic components in the alignment apparatus
according to the following specifications:
