Step 2 Remove the cables from the smoke detector using a Phillips screwdriver, and wrap the cables
with the PVC insulation tape to avoid hazards.
Step 3 Reconnect the cables using a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 4 Install the new smoke detector to the skylight controller component by rotating it in a
direction opposite to

Follow-up Procedure
Send the faulty smoke detector with a Repair Notice to your local Huawei office for repair.
You can check whether the new smoke detector works properly by viewing the smoke
detector status displayed on the event bar of the screen.

5.4.7 Replacing the Alarm Beacon

Prerequisites


Context
Recommended tools and materials: diagonal pliers, crimping tool, insulation tape, step ladder
(2 m), cord end terminal
Procedure
Step 1 Use a Phillips screwdriver to unbolt the alarm beacon from the end door, as shown in
5-11.
Issue 01 (2016-10-18)
When removing cables, label the cables with corresponding terminal ports for later connection.
Step 1.
The alarm beacon needs to be replaced.
A spare alarm beacon of the same model is available and functional.
