Using External Triggering

The External Trigger Input enables you to initiate a capture trigger event from an external source. You select the
external trigger from the Trigger pull-down menu as shown below:
The minimum voltage required to activate the external trigger is 2.1 volts. The pulse duration of the External
Trigger must be greater than 1 TMDS pulse clock period. The Trigger Input is on the rear of the 980. It is the top
most BNC connector. Refer to the image below:

6.10 Using Manual Triggering

In addition to the triggers provided in the pull-down menu, you can select to manually trigger on an event. Refer to
the screen shot below:
