Monitoring the HDMI auxiliary channels in real time

You can monitor the HDMI DDC transactions in real time either while the 980 is emulating a sink device or you can
monitor the transactions passively. Procedures for these applications are provide in this subsection.
5.4.1 Monitoring the HDMI DDC Transactions
You can monitor the HDMI DDC transactions from an HDMI source device in real time. Use the following
procedures. The procedures assume that the HDMI source device powered up and connected to the 980 Rx port.
The procedure also assumes that the 980 is in the HDMI mode.
Note: If you are monitoring passively between an HDMI source and an HDMI sink you will have to connect the
HDMI display device to the 980 Tx port.
To monitor the HDMI DDC transactions:
1. Touch select the Real Time mode on the built-in front panel by touch selecting the GoTo pull-down menu and
selecting the Real Time item.
A video image appears in the Real Time panel. An example is shown below:
