Supply Healthy - LED Drive
A pair of output connections to provide the necessary drive, (LED supply current to be 8mA
nominal), to supply a remote LED indicator.
The LED shall be illuminated when the supply is considered to be in a healthy condition, (as
specified for the Supply Fault output signal).
BATTERY OVER DISCHARGED - PROTECTION
The battery will automatically be disconnected, by a relay, if the battery voltage falls to a level
within the following limits:-
17.5V dc to 18.5V dc, measured at the PSU terminals
PARALLEL OPERATION
The unit is capable of parallel connection, with a compatible unit, to increase the power supply
capability to the system load and the standby battery.
It is recommended that a maximum of 3 units can be connected in parallel.
VO1 - Main Output
The output can be directly connected in parallel with VO1 on a compatible unit.
The outputs are forced to share by a power share circuit, which adjusts each output voltage to be
equal and therefore share the load.
VO2 - Charger Output
The output can be directly connected in parallel with VO2 on a compatible unit.
The outputs will share the battery charging current passively.
MECHANICAL SPECIFICATION
CONSTRUCTION
Note It is assumed that the cabinet in to which the power supply is to be
protection. Therefore, the power supply mechanical design shall not be
provided with any protection to IP 30 as a stand alone unit.
Enclosed construction consisting of 3 sided chassis enclosed by 3 sided safety cover, (see
Appendix A for suggested unit format and outline).
Chassis to be aluminium finished in alocrom 1200 yellow.
