The LED shall be illuminated when the incoming supply is below the specified lower operational
limit, ie:-
90V, (127V peak), or
180V, (254V peak)
"Regulator" Fault - Local LED Indicator, (Amber coloured)
Note
The sole function of the LED is to provide local indication only
LED illuminated in response to output VO1 deviating outside of its operational window of 27.3
to 29.0V dc
SIGNAL OUTPUTS
Supply Fault Signal
A "low", ("fault"), shall indicate that the unit is not operating within its specification.
The fault signal shall be initiated by any one of the following conditions:-
Failure of the incoming ac supply.
A battery disconnected/charger fault condition.
A regulator fault.
The signal is provided with two interface circuits:-
A)
An integral pull up resistor, capable of sourcing 10mA, (from the battery
supply), in the "healthy" condition, while the transistor shall sink 100mA in the
"fault" condition.
B)
An open collector transistor which shall be cut off in the "healthy" condition,
and shall sink 100mA in the "fault" condition.
To provide a visual indication of the status of the "supply fault" signal, the following remote LED
drivers are provided:-
Supply Fault - LED Drive
A pair of output connections to provide the necessary drive, (LED supply current to be 8mA
nominal), to supply a remote LED indicator.
The LED shall be illuminated when the supply is considered to be in a fault condition, (as
specified for the Supply Fault output signal).
