9. Remove the system from the rack.
CAUTION:
This system requires two people to remove the system from the rack.
For instructions, see "Placing an 8335-GTB system into the service position" on page 205. If your
rack has slider rails; remove the system from the rails.
10. Remove the rack rail on the side of the rack where the manifold is mounted.
11. Repeat step 7 on page 179 through step 10 for each system in the rack.

Learn how to remove the water manifold for the IBM Power System S822LC (8335-GTB) system.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is
connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. To close the valves, rotate the lever of the quick connect ball valve fittings of the manifold hose and
the facility water supply hose in the direction that is shown. Press the pin on the valve lever while
you rotate it 90 degrees to close it.
