rearwards and then turns to continue in a different
direction.
The angle sensor - The angel sensor measures the
angle of the rear unit in relation to the front unit. The
signals are used to control the product when it turns
and the speed of the wheels when turning.
3.7.3 Loop sensors
The loop sensors measure the signals that the charging
station sends along the boundary loop (A signal), the
guide loop (guide signal) and the baseplate (F signal).
The signals are used to control the product and keep the
product inside the working area. However, the product
can only detect the signals if it has been paired with the
charging station. Refer to
strength on page 72 .
3.7.4 Start/stop sensor
The start/stop sensor is a sensor on the application main
board. The sensor detects, with help of the magnet in
the start/stop handle, if the handle is in the start or stop
position.
3.7.5 Switch sensor
The switch cord sensor is a switch cord in the link arm to
detect if the product is being lifted in the link arm. If a
signal is indicated, the blade disc will stop. The signal is
received by the switch cord and are processed by the
application circuit board.
3.7.6 Cutting height sensor
The cutting height sensor detects the position of the
blade disc and is used when adjusting the cutting height.
The cutting height sensor must be calibrated to obtain
the correct cutting height when the cutting height setting
is changed. The calibration of the sensor is carried out
regularly.
3.7.7 Ultrasonic sensor
The ultrasonic sensors are used to read off the distance
to obstructions in front of the mower. If an obstruction is
detected, the mower will slow down before it collides
with it. The signals are received by the sensors located
in the body and are processed by the ultrasonic circuit
board inside the chassis.

3.8 Testing the installation

Note: Turn off ECO mode before carrying out below
tests.
As a part of the installation, selected settings for the
installation should be tested.
3.8.1 Test out and Test in
Note: The tests can only be used once the product has
calibrated the guide wire. In other words, the product
must have left the charging station on at least one

3.9 Safe operation in slopes

The product adjusts its operation automatically based on
factors such as the slope angle and travel direction.
If the slope is too steep, the product reverses and turns
to try to find a less steep slope. If after two attempts the
product cannot find a less steep slope, it stops and the
display indicates that the stop is caused by a steep
incline.
Slopes that exceed the specified maximum inclination
can normally only be reached in very favourable
conditions. Accessibility on steeper slopes than
specified cannot be guaranteed.

3.10 New loop signal

In rare cases, there may be a reason to change the loop
signal. For example, if two nearby installations have the
same loop signal they can interfere with each other.
1. Select a new loop signal via Autocheck or through
®
the Automower
Connect app app.
Note: A new loop signal has to be generated when the
product returns to its ordinary charging station, for
example after service if a charging station other than the
customer's has been used. Refer to
10 .
