Function
A potentiometer is installed under the knob. As

the knob is turned, the potentiometer shaft is
turned.

As the potentiometer shaft is turned, the resis-
tance of the variable resistor in potentiometer
(5) changes and a throttle signal is sent to the
engine controller.
The hatched area in the graph shown at right is
