from front cover (9).
8. Remove front seal (10) from carrier (11).

50 Disassembly and assembly
Installation
a Since pilot tool [1] inside the front seal is used
to guide the crankshaft, do not remove it from
the front seal.
a Pilot tool [1] is in the spare front seal.
1. Clean the seal inserting part of the crankshaft.
2. Set front seal (10) to tool A2 with its lip up.
3. Apply neutral detergent to the periphery of the
front seal.
4. Using A2, insert front seal (10) in carrier (11)
from the front cover fitting face.
a Insert front seal (10) so that the front cover
fitting face of carrier (11) will be flush with
the bottom of the front seal.
