Wireless Receivers

The VRX32-433 and VRX32-868 Re ce i ver (ac ces sory
item) will al low your system to ma na ge up to 32 Wi re -
less de tec tors (PIRs, Ma gne tic Con tacts, Smo ke de tec -
tors), and up to 16 Wi re less keys (Key Fobs).
Vec torRX-8 Re ce i ver ma na ges up to 8 Wi re less de tec -
tors (PIRs, Ma gne tic Con tacts, Smo ke de tec tors), and
up to 8 Wi re less keys (Key Fobs). Ple a se read this sec -
tion to get an ove rall view of the steps in vol ved in in stal -
ling the Re ce i vers.
The term "Re ce i ver or Vec torRX Re ce i ver" has been
used in the parts whe re the fun ctions and ope ra ting mo -
des are com mon to all Re ce i vers. Ho we ver, in parts
whe re the fun ctions and ope ra ting mo des dif fer, the re -
spec ti ve Re ce i ver has been spe ci fied.

bing) which may shield the an ten nas.
Ensu re that no elec tri cal wi res run over the Re ce i ver
an ten nas. When mo un ting in a ba se ment, pla ce the
mo du le as high and as clo se to the un der si de of the first
flo or as pos si ble. The ran ge of the Re ce i ver will be re -

du ced if the unit is mo un ted be low ground level.
n Mounting the Receiver
When cho o sing the mo un ting lo ca tion en su re that the
mo un ting sur fa ce is flat, as une ven sur fa ces may im pa ir
pro per fun ctio ning of the Se i ze mi cro switch 124.
Read the fol lo wing in struc tions ca re fully be fo re mo un -
ting the Re ce i ver (re fer to the Fi gu re 8 - 7 - ).
1. Lo o sen the screws 124 (it is not ne ces sary to re mo -
ve them).
2. Press down on the tab 118 to re le a se the backpla te
from the frontpla te.
3. Lift the frontpla te up wards to a 90° an gle, then pull
the frontpla te away from the backpla te.
4. Pull the con nec tion wi res thro ugh the wire entry
125.
5. Pla ce the backpla te in the pro po sed pla ce ment,
mark the screw po si tions 119 then drill the screw
ho les.

when dril ling.
