You can not as sign de fa ult PINs (re fer to Ta ble 10
on page 38).
If you at tempt to as sign a de fa ult PIN, the di splay will
show the fol lo wing mes sa ge:

the system.
If you at tempt to as sign a du pli ca te PIN, the di splay will
show the fol lo wing mes sa ge:
Repeat new PIN
Duplicated PIN!
This mes sa ge me ans that anot her User is using the PIN
con cer ned, the re fo re, the Con trol pa nel will con si der
the Code to be "Unco ve red" and, for se cu rity re a sons,
will au to ma ti cally re sto re the de fa ult PIN of the Code
con cer ned. If a User at tempts to ac cess the system
using an "Unco ve red" PIN the di splay will show the fol -
lo wing mes sa ge:

"Unco ve red" PINs must be re pro gram med (re fer to
Ta ble 10 on page 38).
"Unco ve red" PINs will be si gnal led by:
Ø the G LED (ON) on the Key pad
Ø the Unco ve red PIN! mes sa ge in View Tro u ble
mode
Øthe Event de ta ils in the Log ger
TYPE = Unco ve red PIN
IDENT. = the Key pad used
TIME = Time and Date of the Event
The Tro u ble sta tus will cle ar as soon as a New PIN (ot her
than the de fa ult PIN) is as si gned to the "Unco ve red" Code.

User codes

The Instal ler code can:
Ø ena ble (make Acti ve) the ne ces sary num ber of User
co des (ma xi mum 195)
Ø ena ble the User co des on spe ci fic Par ti tions
Ø de fi ne the A, B, C and D Arming mo des of each
User code
Ø de fi ne the Fat her co des of each User code (for Co -
des 1 to 131 only)
Øde fi ne the ac cess le vel of each User code (re fer to
"Con trol Pa nel Pro gram ming")
A Fat her code can ena ble/di sa ble the Acti ve sta tus of
its Son co des and chan ge the ir PINs.

To pro gram the User code pa ra me ters, ca re fully work
thro ugh the fol lo wing steps. From the Instal ler menu:

un der "Using the Key pad"), then press ENTER.

6. Using A or B, se lect the re qui red User Type then Press E.
16 User Types are ava i la ble (in the exam ple the User Type is
001). You can pro gram the de scrip tion of the User Type via the
"Code Type" op tion from the "Con trol Pa nel Pro gram ming"
menu.

7. Enter the ma xi mum num ber of ti mes the User Code
con cer ned will be al lo wed to ac cess the system (re fer to
"User Menu Access") or, using 0 se lect the Always
op tion to al low un li mi ted use. Press ENTER to con firm
and go to the next step.

8. Using A or B, se lect the re qui red Ti mer (re fer
to "Asso cia ted Ti mer"), or en ter its ID Num ber. If you do
not re qui re a Ti mer, using 0 se lect the None op tion.
