Introduction

You can ope ra te your system from PREMIUM LCD and
CLASSIKA LCD key pads, using the fol lo wing op tions:
Event log ger: this op tion will al low you to view the
Event Log ger.
Zone sta tus: this op tion will al low you to view the zone
sta tus and le vel.
Zone test: this op tion will al low you to test the fun ctio -
na lity of zo nes wit ho ut ge ne ra ting alarms.
Out put test: this op tion will al low you to ac ti va te/test
pre set Out puts.
Cle ar call que ue: this op tion will al low you to stop out -
go ing Alarm calls.
Vo i ce fun ctions: this op tion will al low you to Re cord/
Play back vo i ce mes sa ges (re qui res K3/VOX2 kit).
Instal ler PIN: this op tion will al low you to pro gram the
Instal ler Code PINs.
User co des: this op tion will al low you to pro gram the
User code at tri bu tes.
Di gi tal keys: this op tion will al low you to en rol elec tro -
nic keys.
Pro gram pa nel: this op tion will al low you to pro gram
the Con trol pa nel pa ra me ters.
Enrol wi re less: this op tion will al low you to en rol wi re less
de tec tors, keys and cards and carry out pla ce ment tests.
Upda te strings: this op tion will al low you to up da te the
PREMIUM LCd and CLASSIKA LCD key pad strings.
Chan ge time/date: this op tion will al low you to set the
Con trol pa nel clock.
Re le a se: this op tion will al low you to view the Con trol
pa nel re le a se.
Test Key pad: this op tion will al low you to test the di -
splay, LEDs and buz zer.
Re set war ning lit hium: this op tion will al low you to cle -
ar the bat tery fa ult si gnal.

CANNOT BE pro gram med from Key pads:— the
Sen si ti vity of the har dwi red zo nes; the Con tact
ID, and SIA code of Di gi tal Com mu ni ca tor,
Sche du ler pa ra me ters, ex cept for Max. no. over -
ti me Re quests and Over ti me Re quest;
—the Ti mers;
—Ena ble Key pad Co des/Keys/Cards (LCD/LED
Key pads);
The fol lo wing ope ra tions CAN BE DONE from Key -
pads ONLY:

Using the key pad

Read the fol lo wing sec tion ca re fully, to get an ove rall
view of how to use the Fun ction keys.
Fun ction keys
Unless ot her wi se sta ted, the keys ope ra te as fol lows:
A and B scroll the me nus;
C and D move along the di splay li nes;
ON and OFF ena ble/di sa ble op tions in stantly;
ESC quits the entry and steps back;
ENTER sa ves the entry and al lows you to con ti nue.
Au di ble si gnal ling
Buzz: this is the au di ble er ror si gnal emit ted by the key -
pad when com mands are de nied.

This ma nual de scri bes how to pro gram and ope ra te the
Con trol pa nel from a key pad.
A com ple te de scrip tion of the system fun ctions and pa -
ra me ters can be fo und in the INSTALLATION
MANUAL. Indi ca tions as whe re to look in the
INSTALLATION MANUAL are shown in brac kets (the
parts un der li ned in in ver ted com mas) next to the re -
spec ti ve fun ction/pa ra me ter.
Edi ting a text
The fol lo wing ta ble shows the let ters (small and ca pi tal)
and pun ctua tion marks pro vi ded by the keys. To edit a
text, press the re spec ti ve un til the re qui red cha rac ter is
shown.

Use D to move along the di splay li nes.
Use D or C to scroll the text: the se lec ted cha rac ter will
blink.
Use 0 or 1 for spa ces bet we en let ters.
