Chapter 9: Groups
The D-Show Output section has 8 available Group busses.
Groups busses can fed by Input Channels and FX Returns.
Group outputs can be assigned to the Main Output busses and
to any hardware outputs on the system. Group outputs can
also be the source for Matrix and PQ mixers.
Configuring Group Busses
Group busses can be globally configured to be mono or stereo
as part of the Aux/Group bus configuration. See "Configuring
Aux, Group, and Variable Group Busses" on page 62.

Assigning Inputs to Group Busses

You can route signals from an Input Channel or FX Return to
any number of Group busses simultaneously.
To route multiple channels to a single Group bus:
Press the Groups switch in the Assignable Output Fader as-

signment section to assign control of Groups to the faders.
Press the Multi-Assign switch on the Output Fader strip for

the Group where you want to route the channels.
Press the Select switches on the channels you want to route

to the Group. You can also deselect channels to remove them
from the Group.
Press the flashing Multi-Assign switch to confirm the assign-

ment, or press the Cancel switch to cancel the assignment.
To route a single channel to any number of Group busses:
Select the channel you want to route to a Group bus by

pressing its Select switch.
In the ACS Bus Assigns section, press any of the Group

switches to route the channel to the corresponding Group
busses.
To route multiple channels to any number of Group busses:
Target the first channel you want to route to the Group bus-

ses by pressing its Select switch.
Press the Multi-Assign switch in the ACS Bus Assigns sec-

tion.
Press the Select switches on the other channels you want to

route to a Group bus.
In the ACS Bus Assigns section, press any of the Group

switches so that they are lit.
Press the flashing Multi-Assign switch to confirm the assign-

ment, or press the Cancel switch to cancel the assignment.

Managing Group Bus Assignments

Viewing Group Bus Assignments
You can view Group bus assignments from the Input section
of the control surface or from an on-screen list of Group mem-
bers.
Viewing Group Bus Assignments from the Input
Section
The Bus Assign LEDs 1–8 on Input Channels and FX Return
channel strips light to indicate that a channel is routed to the
corresponding Group busses. The Stereo Pan LED lights when
at least one bus is being fed as a stereo-linked pair or in true
stereo.
