Moving Snapshots
Existing snapshots can be rearranged in the Snapshots list.
When you move a snapshot, they are automatically renum-
bered in the list, but MTC values are left unchanged. You can
undo a snapshot move.
To move a snapshot, do one of the following:
Drag the snapshot to a new location in the Snapshots list.
– or –
Double-click the snapshot number in the Snapshots list or
the banner display, type a new number, and press Enter on the
keyboard.
Propagating Changes Across
Snapshots
There may be situations where you need to change specific pa-
rameters in existing snapshots while leaving other parameters
unchanged. For example, if a guitarist changed instruments in
the middle of a tour, it might be necessary to change levels
and EQ on the guitar channel in all the snapshots in a show.
In stead of re-creating all the affected snapshots, you can use
the Propagate command to make changes to existing snap-
shots. You can undo Propagate commands.
The Propagate command does not add data types to snap-
shots. It only updates values of currently scoped data if the
corresponding data type is already stored in the snapshot.
To update specific parameters in existing snapshots:
Select the snapshot or range of snapshots you want to up-
1
date in the Snapshots list.
Set the scope to reflect only those parameters you want to
2
update by doing the following:
• For each parameter you want to update, click the corre-
sponding Data Type button so that it is scoped (displayed
in red).
– and –
• For each channel you want to update, click the channel
so that it is scoped (displayed in red).
Click Propagate. The scoped parameters are updated to re-
3
flect their current state in the selected snapshots.

Changing the Scope of Snapshots

The scope of existing snapshots can be changed in one step
with the Re-Scope command. Snapshots do not need to be re-
called in order to perform a re-scope action. You can undo Re-
scope commands.
When you re-scope a snapshot, parameters that are not
scoped are removed from the snapshot; scoped parameters
that are not stored in the snapshot are added; scoped param-
eters that are already stored in the snapshot are unaffected.
To change the scope of a snapshot:
Select the snapshots whose scope you want to change.
1
Set the scope of the snapshots by doing the following:
2
• For each parameter you want to include, click the corre-
sponding Data Type button so that it is scoped (displayed
in red).
• For each channel you want to include, click the channel
so that it is scoped (displayed in red).
Click Re-Scope. The scope of the selected snapshots is
3
changed to match the current scope.

Undoing Snapshot Commands

The Undo function returns the console to the state immedi-
ately before the last snapshot command.
Undoing snapshot recall commands may cause audio
to be interrupted. Use Undo with caution in perfor-
mance.
If the Undo button is highlighted, you can place the cursor
over the button to display text in the status bar describing
what snapshot actions will be undone.
If the Undo button is dimmed, Undo is not available.
To undo a snapshot command:
Click the Undo button in the Snapshot commands section.

Disabling Snapshots

You can temporarily disable the storage and recall of snap-
shots.
To disable snapshots:
Click the Disable button in the Snapshot commands sec-
tion.
While snapshots are disabled, you can target snapshots in the
Snapshots List to preview their properties, but you cannot re-
call them
