Chapter 8: Outputs and Output Routing
Configuring Outputs
Types of Outputs
The following types of output busses are available: Mains,
Groups (or Variable Groups), Auxes, Matrixes, and
Personal Qs.
In addition, VCA-style control of channel strips is available.
Mains
The Main busses can be configured in L–R+M or L–C–R for-
mats. For more information, see "Configuring the Main Bus-
ses" on page 62.
The Main busses are controlled from the dedicated Mains con-
trols and fader in the Output section.
Groups
Eight Group busses are available. These Group busses can be
globally configured to be mono or stereo as part of the overall
Aux/Group bus configuration. See "Configuring Aux, Group,
and Variable Group Busses" on page 62.
Group outputs can be controlled from either the Assignable
Output Encoders or Assignable Output Faders in the Output
section.
See Chapter 9, "Groups."
Auxes
Up to 16 Aux busses are available. The number of available
Aux busses is set as part of the overall Aux/Group bus config-
uration. See "Configuring Aux, Group, and Variable Group
Busses" on page 62.
Aux bus outputs can be controlled from either the Assignable
Output Encoders or Assignable Output Faders in the Output
section.
See Chapter 10, "Auxes and Variable Groups."
Variable Groups
When D-Show is in Variable Groups mode , the 8 Group busses
operate in much the same way as Aux busses. This bus config-
uration mode lets you send independently controllable sig-
nals to all 24 busses in the system.
When set to Variable Groups mode, the D-Show Output sec-
tion has 16 available Aux busses and 8 available Variable
Group busses.
Variable Groups mode is set as part of the Aux/Group bus con-
figuration. See "Configuring Aux, Group, and Variable Group
Busses" on page 62.
Matrixes and Personal Qs
Eight Matrix mixers and 8 Personal Q mixers are available.
Matrixes and Personal Qs function independently and can
have separate input sources.
Matrix mixer and Personal Q mixer input sources are assigned
in the Pickoffs tab of the Options page.
Matrix mixer outputs are mono and Personal Q mixer outputs
are stereo.
Matrix mixer outputs and Personal Q mixer outputs can be
controlled from the Assignable Output Faders in the Output
section.
See Chapter 11, "Matrix Mixers and PQ Mixers."
