Chapter 5: Navigating and Selecting Channels
Banking Input Channels and FX
Returns
Many D-Show configurations utilize more physical inputs
than input faders. For example, a standard D-Show system
provides up to 48 discrete hardware inputs and 24 input fad-
ers. To navigate to channels beyond the number of physical
faders, D-Show provides channel banking controls.
The Bank switches move the display of channels on the con-
trol surface through other available banks.
• Input Channels are banked using the Bank A, B, C, and D
switches, located to the left of the input faders on both
the Main Unit and Sidecars.
• FX Returns are banked using the FX Returns switches, lo-
cated to the right of the eight input faders on the Main
Unit.

Main Unit input faders. This lets you have input and FX Re-
turns available simultaneously.
Flip mode can be used to put Aux send level at Sidecar Input
faders, leaving Main Unit input faders to control their FX
Return level.
To bank Input Channels while keeping FX Return channels on the
Main Unit input faders:

Banking the Assignable Output
Encoders and Assignable Output
Faders
Outputs can be targeted and banked to the Assignable Output
Faders (AOFs) or to the Assignable Output Encoders (AOEs).
These two sections can target independently, letting you view
and control two banks of eight outputs simultaneously, as
available in each control section, as follows:
Assignable Output Encoders These can target Auxes 1–8,
Auxes 9–16, Groups (or Variable Groups), Matrix mixer in-
puts, or PQ mixer inputs.
Assignable Output Faders These can target Auxes 1–8, Auxes
9–16, Groups (or Variable Groups), Matrix mixer outputs, PQ
mixer outputs, or VCAs.
