 Flashing Blue Light – The indicator will flash blue if a plate is completed and is in Eject
position half way out for user to remove from system. The microplate needs to be
removed before the next microplate is finished and ejected. The time will vary depending
upon the assay lengths.
To load a microplate:
1. Insert the plate in a plate position with a white indicator light. The plate will be detected,
brought into the incubator and the light will change to blue.

4.8 Performing an Assay

If the SmartKits, consumables and other materials required for the assay(s) are present in the
system, the Timeline screen (Figure 4-21) will be presented and assays will be initiated.

If an item required for the assay is not present in the system, the timeline may not be initiated
and, an icon corresponding to the missing item(s) will be presented on the screen (Figure 4-
19). When the missing item(s) are entered into the system and placed in inventory, the system
will start the assays. In the same vein, if an item needs to be added to the system during the
assay procedure, the icon will be placed in the upper right corner.
