Figure 4-8: Assay Assignment Screen
Once the start-of-day aspirate and dispense assays have been assigned, they can be performed
by pressing the Tools button, followed by the Wash Test button, and selecting the desired
assay. When prompted, the operator must load a dry plate with 12 strips. When performing
the Dispense Assay, the plate will be left full of fluid. Operators should verify wells are filled
evenly. Dynex recommends repeating the Dispense Assay for all wash bottle positions that
will be used during the course of the worklist to verify bottle and tubing functionality. After
performing the Dispense Assay(s), perform the Aspirate Assay. When prompted for the plate,
insert the plate full of fluid from the Dispense assay. Verify the plate is dry when the Aspirate
assay is complete. After performing the desired assay, click the "Reset Wash Bottle" button to
clear the previously assigned wash buffers. A previously assigned wash fluid can be cleared
on this screen at any time by selecting the "Reset Wash Bottle" button.
