Chapter 6 The Graphical User Interface
- The Logout button is used when the present user of the system wants
to transfer control to another individual. The Login screen (Figure 6-1) will be presented to
allow the new user to log in. When control is passed via the Logout button all present
operations are maintained and the new user can edit the program at the level assigned to
him/her by the administrator.

6.4 The Dashboard

The Dashboard is used to present a summary of the present status of the system and present
operation. When the system is initiated, the Upcoming Tasks, In Progress, Scheduled Plates
and Completed Plates fields will be empty. A typical screen during operation is presented in
Figure 6-5.

The Upcoming Tasks field indicates operations that the system will perform in the near future.
The Scheduled Plates box indicates how many tests were scheduled and the time required for
completion of the present timeline. Press the View Timeline button to present the Timeline
screen (Section 6.5) which shows a time based presentation of the system operations.
