6.7 The Timeline Screen and Status Screens

6.7.1 The Timeline Screen

The Timeline screen (Figure 6-16) presents a visual display of all of the activities that the
system is to perform/has performed over the selected time period. A zoomed in view of the
timeline is shown by touching and dragging the defining a box on the upper timeline to the
area on that timeline for which greater detail is desired. Various zoomed length displays can
be chosen by pressing the magnifying glass icon in the top bar which will toggle through the
selections. The timeline for plate processing is accompanied by its corresponding plate
description to the left in a corresponding table. If there are more than six plates running, the
table can be adjusted via the arrows to scroll through all plates. Operation details can be
shown by pressing on any operation bar item in the zoomed view. On the upper timeline
display there is a "Now Clock." When the arrows to the side of the timeline display are
pressed the timeline display will move in that direction to show the schedule of past or future
events. The "Now Clock" will change to a red block indicator to show that the timeline is not
current. That is, the time shown where the display starts is not the current time. Pressing the
clock will make the timeline current and the clock will have a green arrow indicator.
