(MF). A CAIMAN reader (either PIT or MF) can be connected to EAGLE. All the options in EAGLE dedicated to the use of keys/cards described in this document are valid when using keys/cards with a local Paytec reader. The reader CAIMAN PIT enables payments with a Paytec PIT Key (Transponder RF 125KHz).
Connecting two Cashless units MDB Starting from firmware rev.2.00, EAGLE can control 2 cashless units MDB that are identified with the following addresses: MDB Cashless 1 Address 60H MDB Cashless 2 Address 10H The price list for Cashless MDB (in Fn37) is only connected to Cashless 2 (address 10H).
Connecting OPTO MDB reader The changegiver EAGLE (updated to f/w 2.00 or later) can be connected to the reader Paytec OPTO MDB, which is configured as a double Cashless unit MDB (Cashless Key + Cashless Smartphone). The OPTO reader will act as a double Cashless unit MDB, thus enabling payments with Smartphone or with PIT key.

Connecting an MDB Slave unit EAGLE is equipped with a serial cable for connection to an MDB Slave unit (e.g. a Bill Validator or a Cashless reader). The standard MDB enables parallel connection of a number of peripherals (in any case, the peak current absorption must not exceed 1.5 A).
Page 17
The system can be configured so that coins and bills are only accepted after inserting the key – no matter if the validator is either an MDB Slave unit or a Paytec validator plugged on J9/J10. Coins are always accepted.
Press 0 for "N" (NO) Entering function menu with P6000 Plug the P6000 on 4-pin connector on the faceplate with EAGLE OFF, then give power and wait till the access password is required on P6000 display. Enter the password within 5 seconds and press to confirm.
In the menu of the APP PayTools, sensor and coin diagnostics is also available. ® The Smartphone connects with the EAGLE system via Bluetooth transmission. Connection is established with the help of the BT6000/BT6002 portable devices connected on the front 4-pole connector (fig. 8A).
P6000 Emulator with Bluetooth device BT6002 ® BT6002 is the new Paytec device, evolution of BT6000, enabling Bluetooth connection between the changegiver EAGLE and an Android™ Smartphone. If you wish to use your Smartphone in P6000 Emulator mode with BT6002, the changegiver has to be updated with firmware rev.3.00 (or later).
Security Secure mode can be activated here: PINs on keys are only programmed by inserting an Access Key (PINs can be no longer modified with Paytec Configurator / P6000 - unless the system is reset). Fidelity Clients can be fidelized by giving them credit/points for each purchase.

Executive Price Holding - List 10 prices Prices are controlled by the changegiver EAGLE. In this case, each price (with its discount) is associated with a selection number. You can have different selection numbers with the same price but different discounts.
In this case, when setting bill no.1 its value must be the same as the USF programmed (read user guide of the bill validator). For PAYTEC bill validator in pulse mode the USF is € 5.00. Bill validator models and logic level INH are set in Fn00.
The options about credit (free credit, free vends, bonus menu) are valid both for PIT keys and for Mifare ® keys/cards. Fn08 – Coins programming Up to 30 coin channels can be programmed on EAGLE. Free channels can be configured while the coin channels configured by default are protected against writing. After starting the system, wait 1 minute before programming coins.
The parameters here below permit to set the max. level and empty level of coins in each tube. The max. level depends on the thickness of the coin (do not exceed the default parameters set by Paytec). When replacing a tube group, you need to adjust coin destination (Fn03) and the level of coins in each tube (Fn09).
The service key can only be configured with Paytec Key Programmer. If you wish to use the service key on the changegiver, you need to plug the Paytec Key Reader (accessory) on connector J09/J10 (see p.12). After the function has been activated, switch the changegiver OFF and ON again. Wait till the key reader is ready for use and insert the service key “restore limit in cashbox”.
Fn11 – Fidelity You can win customers’ loyalty by giving them points or credit after each vend, which are accumulated and later used when an fixed amount has been reached. Fidelity options are linked with prices. When the changegiver has been configured with 100 prices (see Fn19), Fidelity options will be also valid for 100 prices.

Fn17 – Price-Holding setting PRICE HOLDING - LIST 10 PRICES This function must be configured together with Fn04 to associate prices/selection numbers when EAGLE is working in Executive Price Holding mode with a 10-price list. See Fn00 and Fn04 for more info on Price Holding mode.
Fn18 – Cashless options Only valid with Executive protocol and with key. Fictitious credit As a rule, Executive protocol doesn’t allow customers to make a enabled ? purchase when no credit is left on their keys/cards. Select “Y” if you wish to enable fictitious credit and give free vends to all keys (even those keys with no credit left on them).
Fn19 – 100 Selections Extended memory - up to 100 prices. This option is useful for systems with a high number of selections where vends must be registered for each selection. All 100 prices are set in Fn04 (price number = selection number). In that case one discount is given for each price.
Fn22 – Free credit Connection required with a Paytec key reader. A predefined free credit amount can be automatically loaded on the key on the first vend of the day/period. Options about free credit may be differently set according to the key you are using.
