    Installing EAGLE on a Vending Machine (VM) 1. Cut power. 2. Unlatch the winglet and lower it (Fig.1A). 3. Press the release lever (Fig.1B) and pull the selector forward. 4. The two mounting holes are clearly visible on the back plate (Fig.1C).

All the options in EAGLE dedicated to the use of keys/cards described in this document are valid when using keys/cards with a local Paytec reader. The reader CAIMAN PIT enables payments with a Paytec PIT Key (Transponder RF 125KHz).

    Connecting OPTO MDB reader The changegiver EAGLE (updated to f/w 2.00 or later) can be connected to the reader Paytec OPTO MDB, which is configured as a double Cashless unit MDB (Cashless Key + Cashless Smartphone). The OPTO reader will act as a double Cashless unit MDB, thus enabling payments with Smartphone or with PIT key.

    Connecting an MDB Slave unit EAGLE is equipped with a serial cable for connection to an MDB Slave unit (e.g. a Bill Validator or a Cashless reader). The standard MDB enables parallel connection of a number of peripherals (in any case, the peak current absorption must not exceed 1.5 A).
  • Page 17 The system can be configured so that coins and bills are only accepted after inserting the key – no matter if the validator is either an MDB Slave unit or a Paytec validator plugged on J9/J10. Coins are always accepted.

    Press 0 for "N" (NO) Entering function menu with P6000 Plug the P6000 on 4-pin connector on the faceplate with EAGLE OFF, then give power and wait till the access password is required on P6000 display. Enter the password within 5 seconds and press to confirm.

    In the menu of the APP PayTools, sensor and coin diagnostics is also available. ® The Smartphone connects with the EAGLE system via Bluetooth transmission. Connection is established with the help of the BT6000/BT6002 portable devices connected on the front 4-pole connector (fig. 8A).

    P6000 Emulator with Bluetooth device BT6002 ® BT6002 is the new Paytec device, evolution of BT6000, enabling Bluetooth connection between the changegiver EAGLE and an Android™ Smartphone. If you wish to use your Smartphone in P6000 Emulator mode with BT6002, the changegiver has to be updated with firmware rev.3.00 (or later).

    Exact-Change condition The “Exact-Change” alarm is transmitted when the system cannot give change (the alarm is automatically controlled by the system depending on the value and the number of coins in the tubes). As a rule, the Exact-Change condition is OFF if the coins remaining in the tubes make it possible to give a change whose value is between the minimum and the maximum change programmed.

    Price list for a peripheral cashless MDB. Starting from f/w rev.1.16, an extra price list “cashless” is available, which can be used for vends paid via a peripheral cashless MDB connected to the changegiver EAGLE. Such price list can be programmed in Fn37 (see dedicated paragraph).
  • Page 34 Executive Price Holding - List 10 prices Prices are controlled by the changegiver EAGLE. In this case, each price (with its discount) is associated with a selection number. You can have different selection numbers with the same price but different discounts.

    Fn08 – Coins programming Up to 30 coin channels can be programmed on EAGLE. Free channels can be configured while the coin channels configured by default are protected against writing. After starting the system, wait 1 minute before programming coins.
  • Page 44: Fn09 - Level In Tubes

    The parameters here below permit to set the max. level and empty level of coins in each tube. The max. level depends on the thickness of the coin (do not exceed the default parameters set by Paytec). When replacing a tube group, you need to adjust coin destination (Fn03) and the level of coins in each tube (Fn09).

    The service key can only be configured with Paytec Key Programmer. If you wish to use the service key on the changegiver, you need to plug the Paytec Key Reader (accessory) on connector J09/J10 (see p.12). After the function has been activated, switch the changegiver OFF and ON again. Wait till the key reader is ready for use and insert the service key “restore limit in cashbox”.

    Fn11 – Fidelity You can win customers’ loyalty by giving them points or credit after each vend, which are accumulated and later used when an fixed amount has been reached.     Maintenance Cleaning coin validator Coin chutes must be frequently cleaned to keep the system efficient and prevent dust or grease from building up (dust might slow the coin run). Be sure the changegiver is OFF before cleaning the selector. Use a soft, damp cloth with water. Do NOT use solvents or aggressive detergents (degreasing fluids for PCB, oils, benzene or trichloroethylene) that might damage plastic components.
