Servo motor incorrect wiring detection function [WG]

This function detects incorrect wiring of a servo motor power cable or encoder cable. [AL. 139 Open phase error] will occur if
the incorrect wiring is detected. The servo motor can be prevented from burning which is due to the incorrect wiring of the
servo motor with a wrong capacity. Incorrect wiring refers to when the servo motor power cable and the encoder cable are
connected to different servo motors.
• Enabling this function on other than MR-J5W_-_G servo amplifiers triggers [AL. 037 Parameter error].
• If [Pr. PC05.0 Motor-less operation selection] is set to "1" (enabled), incorrect wiring will not be detected
even if the servo motor incorrect wiring detection function has been enabled.
• The servo motor incorrect wiring detection function will not operate even if the servo-on is turned on during
the servo motor rotation. Execute the servo motor incorrect wiring detection function while the servo motor
is stopped.
Precautions
• When the servo motor incorrect wiring detection function is enabled, the servo motor may move as follows between the
servo-on command and the actual servo-on:
For a rotary servo motor: one pole pitch at a maximum
For a linear servo motor: one revolution at a maximum
• The servo motor incorrect wiring detection function will be executed at the servo-on. When the servo motor incorrect wiring
detection function is enabled, the time until the servo amplifier actually becomes in the servo-on state after turning on the
servo-on command is extended by 3.0 s at a maximum, as compared to when the servo motor incorrect wiring detection
function is disabled.
• This function is executed at servo-on of each axis.
• If the stoke limit is detected, the servo motor incorrect wiring detection function will be stopped.
• The incorrect wiring may not be detected when different servo motors with the similar capacities are wired incorrectly.
• Do not use this function when using a servo motor not manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric. Otherwise, a large current may
flow because of this function.
