Setting method
Use the gear diagnosis function with the following procedure:
Startup the system.
Set the ratio of the gear connected to the servo motor in [Pr. PF66.0-3
Gear ratio for backlash estimation - Numerator] and [Pr. PF66.4-7
Gear ratio for backlash estimation - Denominator.
Set [Pr. PF67 Backlash nominal value] based on the backlash value
presented by respective gear manufacturer.
Which function?
Use [Pr. PF68 Backlash threshold multiplication] to set a backlash
threshold that triggers [AL. 0F7 Machine diagnosis warning].
Perform backlash estimation using MR Configurator2.
The result of the backlash estimation is saved in the servo amplifier.
The result of the backlash estimation is displayed on MR Configurator2.
The result is stored in [Backlash estimation value (Obj. 2C29)].
Has the estimated backlash value
exceeded the threshold?
[AL. 0F7 Machine diagnosis warning] will be triggered.
Reset the controller or cycle the power of the servo amplifier.
*1 The threshold for outputting [AL. 0F7 Machine diagnostic warning] is backlash threshold = [Pr. PF67 Backlash nominal value] × [Pr.
PF68 Backlash threshold magnification].
*2 Once backlash estimation is performed, the servo amplifier will enter the test operation mode, and control commands from the controller
will not be available after that.
