Installation
Compliance voltage testing is best done before installation. See "Determining an SVI Positioner
Compliance Voltage in a Control System" on page 97.
The steps necessary to complete the SVI II ESD installation and software setup are outlined in
Table 1.
Step No.
Attach mounting bracket to the

actuator.
Install the SVI II ESD magnetic assem-

bly (rotary valves only).
Assemble the SVI II ESD on the bracket
3
that is mounted to the valve actuator.
Connect the pneumatic tubing to the
4
SVI II ESD.
Connect the air supply to the SVI II
5
ESD.
6
Install the wiring for the SVI II ESD.
Connect the PST controller to the
7
HART
installing the SVI II ESD wiring.
8
Power up the SVI II ESD.
If appropriate, configure/calibrate
using ValVue ESD

If appropriate, configure/calibrate
using a HART
